Throughout Middlesbrough a wide range of learning opportunities are available in many locations, including local community and learning centres, libraries. We work in partnership with a whole host of partners offering a varied and exciting offer to people interested in learning something new.
Learning is about giving everybody the chance to continue learning, whether for formal qualifications, to develop a personal interest or hobby, to learn new skills, to brush up on old skills, or just for fun.

Support for Schools
If you would like to engage parents we offer an exciting range of family learning courses to support parents to support learning.
Supporting community groups, clubs and societies.
We can offer a wide range of courses to support your members.
These could be safety in the home, affordable warmth, managing debt healthy eating, ICT and much more.
Health and Wellbeing
MCL along with 57 local authorities in England, are testing out whether short, part-time community learning courses help people develop strategies to manage their mild to moderate mental health problems (like stress, worry, anxiety, and depression).
This research project is funded through the £20 million Department for Education (DfE) initiative announced in the 2014 Autumn Statement.
We will be working in Partnership with Nunthorpe learning and leisure to deliver short courses which will be free for anyone wanting to take part in the project. To find out more click link below or contact Claire Kemp
