Here at Lingfield we are committed to helping our Learners through vocational directed learning.    We aim to promote diversity and individuality by supporting each of our Learners through their own unique journey.

Lessons are tailored around employment and offer valuable qualifications and real work experience in an environment where all Learners have an opportunity to develop life skills and achieve their goals.

Vocational opportunities

We work closely with a wide variety of industries that provide our Learners with valuable hands on experience to complement our training courses.

Our main providers for work experience are:
Actions:    Vehicle Repair and Maintenance level 1 and progression to a Diploma in Vehicle Fitting Principles are available.
Hair Academy:    You can gain a Certificate in Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector and a Level 1 Diploma .
Walter Thompson:    We also have an excellent relationship with Walter Thompson, a local construction company who provide training for learners within the sector.

Whatever your chosen vocation may be we at Lingfield will seek to find you the most appropriate work placement. Lingfield have exceptional ties with local businesses in the Middlesbrough area who provide valuable work experience in a range of other sectors:

•    Pet shops
•    Hospitality
•    Warehousing
•    Customer service
•    Horticulture
•    Conservation

Onsite learning

Employability Qualifications E1 to L2 (ASDAN) : The Employability qualification provides a framework for developing and recognising general employability skills such as;

•    Exploring careers
•    Skills for applying for jobs
•    Interview practice

Personal Development Programme : Our Personal Development Programme will allow you to recognise a range of skills that will be invaluable when you start work and begin living independently. This programme will develop your skills in

•    Team work and effective communication
•    Independent learning
•    Problem solving
•    Maths English & ICT

The challenges that you will take part in through the programme will give you valuable experiences to talk about at interview and when applying for jobs and apprenticeships.



'We are proud to announce that Middlesbrough Community Learning Traineeship programme for the academic year 16/17 has an 88.5% achievement which is an excellent result.   This was above the national achievement rate of 88.3% '
